How to Play

Descend through procedurally generated dungeons. Each floor grows more dangerous. Find equipment, manage your hunger, and survive as long as you can.

Movement

• W/A/S/D or Arrow Keys - Move in 4 directions
• Click on a visible tile to move toward it
• Walk into enemies to attack them

Actions

• G - Pick up item on ground
• I - Open/close inventory
• > - Descend stairs
• R - Rest (skip a turn)
• Tab - Toggle minimap
• X - Auto-explore
• ? - Show this help
• E - Examine/Search adjacent walls for secrets
• M - Toggle sound mute

Inventory

Press I to open inventory. Click items to use, equip, or drop them. Equipment goes in weapon, armor, or ring slots. Potions are consumed on use. Scrolls have various magical effects.

Hunger

You grow hungry over time. Eat food from your inventory to restore hunger. If you starve, you lose HP each turn!

Tips

• Explore carefully - caves may hold treasure or danger
• Watch for traps! Spike traps deal damage, teleport traps warp you, alarm traps summon enemies
• Press E to examine adjacent walls - some hide secret passages with rare loot!
• Look for merchants - they sell useful gear for gold earned from slaying monsters
• The dungeon changes as you descend: lava caves below floor 3, crystal caverns below floor 6
• Manage your food supply - starvation is deadly
• Upgrade equipment whenever possible
• Use scrolls wisely - they can save your life
• Press X to auto-explore when the area seems safe
